Jenny's Thank You

I wish I could take credit for this beautiful card, but I can't. It's another Jenny that has become a regular at the store, who says she's pretty new to crafting, but you'd never tell from her creations. Here's one of the samples she dropped off at the store featuring new Hero Arts cling stamps. Thanks Jenny!

Sakura Punches A La Don

Woah! Had a double take when I passed by this card in the store recently! I must say Mr. Barnes sure did a nice job on this card! He used the new sakura punches that came in last week and popped them up off the branch and curled the petals in. This made all the difference! The middle of the flower is also a new punch and so are the individual petals. Thanks Don for this beautiful card!

Valentine Ornament

One of our resident male crafters, Bill, gave us this awesome Valentine themed ornament. You really need to see it in person to appreciate how much work went into creating this. He told us once that sometimes he just makes it to see if he can make it and then throws it away! Crazy yah? Well, we appreciate all his creations and wanted to feature this special one here.

He actually created the dice inside and printed love sentiments all over, then proceeded to suspend it within the red ornament! Love that the holes he cut were heart shaped too. Thanks Bill!

I'm Lucky To Have A Friend Like You

I love this sentiment. It's so playful but thoughtful and just says it all. Debi kept the sentiment as the focal point of this card and took the time to stamp out the same sentiment in several colors to make certain parts of the sentiment pop. The roses and butterfly create cute accents but allow the sentiment to remain the focal point of the card. Be back tomorrow with another card.

Sending Caring Thoughts

Just wanted to share another card made by Debi. This is one of our favorite stamps from the 2011 Hero Arts Catalog. Its a wood mounted stamp that is a larger version of the stamp used at the preview party. Here, Debi colored in the flowers for a different look and added crystal accents.

Supplies:
  • All stamps- Hero Arts
  • CS- Bazzil
  • Crystals- Kaisercrafts

Classic Fabric Background- Redux

As promised, here's my 2nd card featuring the Classic Fabric Background cling stamp by Hero Arts. This time I embossed the image using white embossing powder by Zing. After embossing it, I went over the image using my Spun Sugar Distress ink by Ranger to make the white show up on the white paper. Its great for customizing your own backgrounds and you get it in just the color you want it!

Used Sweetheart Birgitta again cause she's so sweet. Don't you just want to be her valentine? Here's a close up of Sweetheart Birgitta...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Have you seen the new Hero Arts background cling stamp called Classic Fabric Design? Its one of the new releases from the 2011 catalog and is great for cardmakers! Its elegant style makes a great background and can easily create a different effect just by changing the color used. Here I used gold embossing powder (Queen's gold) and used the emboss resist technique by adding Bard Door Distress ink over it. Love the rich results it gave to the card, so kept with the theme and used a black card base to make the red and gold pop.

The sentiment was stamped on the new Labels 14 Spellbinder dies that are now in stock and accented with Kaisercraft crystals. I'll be sharing another card tomorrow using the same stamp but in a totally different look so stop by to see what else this stamp can do.

If Friends Were Flowers I'd Pick You

Time for a Greeting Farm sample! I really wanted to use my new Sweet Anya stamp and thought she matched perfectly with this new designer paper by Bo Bunny. The sentiment is from the new Lawn Fawn set called Hello Friend. This set contains 7 sentiments that are a pretty good size and could easily be used as your focal point. They are also great for the inside of your card too. Here's a close up of Sweet Anya.

Sweetheart Brigitta

We know you've been waiting for the new CC's Designs stamps to arrive! Here's Sweetheart Birgitta featured on this card I made using the new Garden Party paper by Imaginisce. Totally loving this paper too! If you want some, better stop in soon before I buy it all up!

Decided to try making a shaker card this time by using the new Spellbinders nestibilities dies. Sentiment used is by Hero Arts and is from a set called Made With Love. It comes with 6 different sentiments that are graphically appealing and are great for all occasions. The size of each sentiment is large enough to be the focal point of your card or project. Here's a close up of Sweetheart Birgitta.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Happy Easter Wreath

The wreath featured here is from a new Hero Arts stamp set called A Special Note of Thanks. I really liked this stamp, but could not figure out how to use it to make it look nice. I decided that this was a project for Debi and asked her to do something with the wreath. This is what she came up with... amazing! This may look like a simple card, but Debi spent some time cutting out the wreath. I think the time spent doing this was well worth it! The cute bunny accent is from the Lawn Fawn set called Critter's in the Burbs. Only one set came with our first order, so we are taking pre-orders of the set if you would like to reserve one for yourself. Please ask at the store so we can show you the entire set.

Thanks Debi for taking on this wreath challenge! If it was still up to me, there would still be no sample!

Hello Dol-friend!

Hi Everyone! Ready for some samples? We've been busy making some new eye candy for the store and wanted to start sharing them with you if you haven't been able to visit us yet. This dolphin card is by Debi, who is a big time Lawn Fawn fan! We can all thank her for bringing Lawn Fawn to IS and GUESS WHAT? IS is the only store in Hawaii to carry these stamps! That means you can only get your hands on these cuties here. We currently have 3 different sets available at the store, but more are on their way and should be here soon.

Anyway- now for more info on the card... Debi used the wave stamp that comes in the set to make it look like the dolphins are playing in the ocean. The other thing we like about Lawn Fawn stamps is that they stamp great! You get really good images from them, which is a definite plus for us stampers.

The other new item featured on her card is Baker's Twine . These fibers are all the rage and come in a variety of colors. These simple accents really add to your cards and other paper projects.

We have more samples to come, so stop in again soon to see what we have to share tomorrow!

New Stuff!

OK- finally got my camera back today, so I can show you some of the new stuff that came in... The first photo is of all the new CC's stuff that arrived, including re-orders of some old items that have sold out.

And, here's the new Lawn Fawn sets... cute yah? Only 3 different sets are available right now, but more are on the way, and we can't wait to share them with you!

The next photos share products that are so exciting to us! For years we have been trying to bring in these punches and they are finally here! Check out all the different sizes of Sakura that are available... including the small punch for the middle- gotta have them all!

These next set of punches are the petals of the sakura... Great for making larger sakura (punch several petals to form a flower) or make them appear like they are floating in the air. Not shown here are a couple more punches that are not shown here. These will all likely fly out of here, so stop in if you want to get your hands on these!

That's all the new product photos I have for now... Be back soon with some new samples at the store.
