An Album of Hope

Is this an awesome birthday present or what? Tracy made this mini photo album for Michele's birthday and we just had to feature it on the blog. In case you didn't know, Michele (and Tracy) is a huge fan of cardinals, so Tracy had to include one on the cover...

The following photos are the inside pages of the album. Love how each page has a pocket where the page can slip in and out. You can also journal instead of adding a photo.

Happy Birthday Michele!

After a busy day, the shop closed and the Design Team threw an after hours party for Michele's Birthday! Lots of food, crafts, and just plain fun! Yes, we actually forced Michele to craft at her party! Just wanted to share a few of the crafty things we made and shared at the party...

First up is this cute party favor made by Kelli. Inside the toilet paper roll was chocolate goodies! Thanks Kelli!

I'm sure you can guess who made this card! Yup, Debi used the new Lawn Fawn Critters on the Farm set to make this cute Diorama card. Sorry, this is a horrible photo of it- doesn't do it justice!

Next we have the card Tracy made for Michele. The gift will be a whole 'nother post! Its pretty fabulous, so stay tuned for more on that...

This is Kelli's gift she made for Michele- Kelli's a whiz at making scrapbook pages.

Jen (Jenny R.) made this cool swing card. Check the next newsletter if you want to take her upcoming class.

And here's my card to Michele. Its an updated version of the easel card.

And I was brave (or should I say crazy?) enough to teach everyone how to make this box. Let's just say that it was a challenge for all!

And now that Jen has joined the DT, we thought we needed an updated photo for the blog...

Front row: Jen, Michele, Kelli, Kiyomi. Back row: Debi, Jenny & Tracy.

Hey girls- when's the next party and who's teaching???

Darcie Stamps

A new stamp company has arrived and boy are they cute! Darcie stamps are cling sets that already come mounted and pre-cut. Used the set called Potted Pals on this card. Also used the new lacey ovals Spellbinders set that arrived recently. BTW- this stamp set also comes with a couple of sentiments- I used one of them on the inside of the card. Its a great value for the amount of stamps you get.

Tri-Shutter Card Bases

Do you love the look of the tri-shutter card but don't like doing all that cutting? Well, we're making it easy for you... you can now buy pre-cut tri-shutter card bases at Island Scrapbooking. They come 6 to one pack and cost is $5 each- see store for more info. It takes all the guess work of where to cut- you just fold it up and decorate!

I love this butterfly paper and wanted to use it on something, so I added it to the middle panel of the card. Those little butterflies reminded me of the Hero Arts butterfly set I had, so I inked it up and colored the butterflies with my copics to match the ones on the paper. For some fun, I hung one of the butterflies using fishing line so it looks like it is flying. Here's a close up of the butterflies on the front of the card.
