Snuggle Snuggle

Ahhh, one of my absolute favorite Greetings Farm stamps! Tracy colored the Snuggle stamp (Hope and Grace line) so that she matched the background papers used. OK- don't bother asking where to get the bottom right hand corner paper... Tracy stamped the design herself! If you already have the new Thank You set by Hero Arts, then you have these stamps! I have that set and didn't even realize it. So I encourage you to look at some of your sets and see if there are stamps there you can use in a new way. I'm sure gonna do that! Thanks for the tip Tracy!

Supplies used:
Snuggle stamp- The Greeting Farm
All other stamps- Hero Arts
DP- Doodlebug Designs
Cardstock- Bazzil
Crystals- Hero Arts

Peace Out!

One of the newest members of The Greetings Farm family is Peace from the Hope and Grace line. Tracy used this groovy paper by Basic Gray as the background for the card. Don't ya just love how Peace's tie die shirt matches the paper? Makes me want to go sing around a campfire.

Back to the card... Tracy used the "hello" from the Hello Kitty die and flowers are by Hero Arts. Here's a close up of this flower child.

Don't ya want to just give Peace a chance now? hee hee hee. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

My new notebook! Thank You Noela! What a thoughtful gift, which I will promise to put to good use. This is my to call book (otherwise known as my brain!).

Copics Re-stocked and Card Sample

It's Aloha Friday! Hope you all have a great weekend. Our last Copics order came and went so quickly! There is definitely a high demand for these pens, so we ordered more colors and even some refills of some of the more popular colors. Stop by the store to see what colors are back in stock and new to the store.

Donna created this card using a variety of products. The background was embossed using the swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder. She then cut the blue and white cardstock from her Spellbinders nesties (label #4) in two different sizes so she could layer them. The white label #4 was embossed in silver using a flower stamp from the Friends Hero Arts set. If you look closely, you can see that she positioned the stamp so that it frames the last piece, which is an white oval embossed with the Dream sentiment stamp by Inkadinkado. The Dream stamp is part of the current promotion where you buy two Inkadinkado stamps and get one free. Lastly, the image was accented with Hero Arts crystals for an elegant look.

Here's a close up of the card.

Summer Hours

Just a short note to advise everyone that for the summer months (June and July), Island Scrapbooking will be closing at its normal time on Mondays (2pm) until further notice.

The store will be open on Kamehameha Day, June 11th during regular business hours.

The store will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE***

URGENT! PLEASE DO NOT USE CD CASES WITH YOUR ANYA STAMPS. ISLAND SCRAPBOOKING WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO YOUR STAMPS.

ATTENTION to those of you who got CD cases for your ANYA stamps. We are NOT encouraging you to use those with your stamps. There was an incident where, while traveling to stamp at a friend's house; it was discovered that when the CD case gets hot, the thin coating that makes the Anya stamps adhere to the acrylic block actually gets adhered to the CD case. Thus, the stamp will no longer cling to the block. When transporting your Anya stamps/craft supplies, we encourage the items to be in a temperature sensitive environment to avoid excessive heat.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation reguarding this issue. Again, please do NOT leave ANY of your precious craft items, where they can get over-heated.

We are contacting "The Greeting Farm" to get their recommendation on proper stamp storage.

Sincerely,
The Girls at Island Scrapbooking

More Greetings Farm Cards to Share

Just wanted to share some cute new Anya card samples with all of you...

The first card is a shaker card by Kelli. The background paper she used is by Island Paperie. If you look closely, you can see that its a photo of coral. Other supplies used:
Mermaid Anya- The Greetings Farm
Rectangle frame- Spellbinder dies
Markers- Copics

The next card was designed by Debi, our newest class instructor! She used one of the girls from the Miss Anyas set. The base of the card was cut using the Spellbinders scallop circle dies and the Anya image was mounted on Doodlebug glitter paper. Don't ya just love the contrasting colors she used?

Lastly, this card was made using the Teacher Anya stamp. Normally she's holding an apple but the apple was covered with a cupcake since it was a birthday card.

One Small Step For Ian...One Giant Leap Of Creativity!

Isn't Kelli amazing?? She creates the most funnest cards ever.... Yes, I said funnest, I'm making up words again.

Anyway, Kelli used Astonaut Ian and some ingenuity to create this card. The space ship and moon were cut using the Cricut. Stars are actually Hero Arts flower crystals. The coolest thing about this card is Ian actually moves! Not sure if you can see the hand in the photo, but there's a lever on the side that allows you to move Ian up and down on the moon. Cool-ness! (yes, another made up word). Oh yah, in case you are wondering... the bungee cord she attached to Ian is actually a Mizuhiki cord. Stop by the store to see the sample up close! Stay tuned for more card samples...

Skater Ian and Fairy Chloe

If you've been waiting for Skater Ian to get back in stock at the store, better hurry in cause he's rolling out fast! This card was designed by Tracy using some cool brick background paper by Stamping Station. She "graffitied" the wall using a white uniball gel pen. What a cool way to add a sentiment to your card! She accented the background using the circle embossing folder by Cuttlebug.

This Fairy Chloe card was designed by Kelli. She used Copics to color in Chloe and accented her wings using Stickles. The Bazzil cardstock was embossed using the swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder to add some texture to the card. The DP used is by Die Cuts With a View and the background paper is by Bazzil (Swiss Dots). The card was accented with Hero Arts flowers and pearl bling.

Stay tuned for more Anya Samples later this week!
