Happy New Year! 

Well after a long time of being closed everything has been counted, counted again, and re-organized.  The shop is looking bright and new.  You really should stop by and see all the hard work that has been put in to making it a great shopping experience.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Don't you just live the smell of Christmas trees and seeing all the colorful decorations this time of year?  It seems like this year flew by too fast if you ask me.  Inventory time is almost upon us.  Be sure to stop in as often as you can before our annual closing for inventory.  The last day to shop this year is December 26th.  Please join us for our HUGE PRE-INVENTORY END OF YEAR SALE!

Jenny's Craft Fair Reminder

Hero Arts 2013 Catalog
The much anticipated 2013 Hero Arts catalog will be here soon.  Pre-Order and pay by 12/13/12 and get a special low price of just $7.99.  Catalogs are due to arrive on the 14th... and along with them we will be receiving a shipment of brand new releases!  Shop early as these fresh new products will go quickly as limited supplies arrive initially!  We will be taking special orders once the catalogs arrive.

Introducing Joshua Paul!
Please meet my brother Josh!  He has been and will continue to be helping out a couple days a week at the shop.  Many of you have met him or heard me talk about my brother who was in the Marines.  He plans on attending college and helping me when he has the time.

He is smart and funny and oh yes!  He even does paper crafting too!  If you like magic tricks he is good at that too.  just ask him to show you some of his slight of hand tricks.

Oh and he is getting married to a wonderful girl named Shauna.  They will be married on 12/12/12.  By the way, we will be closing that day, Wednesday, December 12th, as we have a wedding to go to :).  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.  We are so excited to "officially" grow our family larger.

Holiday time is in full swing-

It is unbelievable that the holiday season is right around the corner.  Everyone seems to be getting ready for Holiday cards, gifts and craft fairs.  We have a huge selection of Holiday papers in stock that are fit for your crafting needs.

We also have a great selection of die cuts, stamps, and laser cut words that will help you with all your projects.

Island Scrapbooking Reusable Bags

We are trying to stay ahead of the game as new laws about plastic bag use are going into effect in January.  We are trying to encourage everyone to get into the habit of bringing their own bags starting now.  We do have a limited supply of our own personalized “Island Scrapbooking” reusable bags for sale for just $1.00 each.  Some of our customers have been kind enough to bring back the plastic bags, we currently use, for us to use again.  We will still kindly accept any of our plastic bags you can bring in to recycle as we are still allowed to use plastic for a couple more months.  We are grateful to those who do recycle an appreciate your participation in this new environmentally friendly direction.

Sister Stamps Release #10

The anticipation is over and we can’t be more excited to announce Sister Stamps newest release!  It is the start of the Chinese Zodiac series (See picture below!).  This year is The Year of the Snake!

As you can see the Snake and Horse are being released as the first of a series of the Zodiac animals.  Their release dates are listed below their pictures, so we can mark our calendars for these cuties!  For the Snake and the Horse release, we are offering 10% OFF pre-paid orders now till November 17^th.  We are also taking pre-orders with the same pre-paid discount for all of the Zodiac animals.  Pre-order soon and be sure to get these more limited releases.  We can also look forward to other releases from Sister Stamps to be released between the zodiac series images.  Please watch the blog and newsletter to see what is to come.  We hear exciting images are in the works.

December 8:  Jenny’s Christmas Craft Fair!  8am-1pm- there will be great handmade items such as beaded jewelry, Christmas ornaments, paper crafts (gift card holders, clipboards), recipe books, calendars, Christmas Wreaths and décor, fabric crafts, and that is just to name a few.  Please inquire within the store for more details and the address whit directions.

December 25:  Christmas Day Closed (Tuesday)

December 26:  Wednesday- Huge End of the Year Sale!  Last day for 2012.

November Classes

Stencil Class

Learn different ways to use your stencils for simple backgrounds also using Dream Weaver pasts.  You will make three card faces using different techniques.

Supplies:  Scissors, adhesive, distress tool or sponge, and stencil brushes (2-3) fi you have them.

Please join Tracy as she shows you ways to use the new Metallic Distress Stains and make a few Holiday Tags and Gift Card Holder just in time for the Holiday Season. Please stop by the shop to see samples.

Happy Halloween!

Can you believe October is over?  Before the month ends, I thought I'd pop in to share the make 'n take project from the Anniversary Sale.  I literally came up with this project the morning of the make 'n take!  Talk about procrastination!!!

For a few years now, I've been meaning to teach everyone how to make the mini backpack that I've been spying all over the internet.  Of course, by now, its pretty old news.  I thought everyone would think- been there, done that... but that wasn't the case.  Everyone seemed pretty happy making this project.

Since the Tim Holtz mini treat bag die arrived just in time for the sale, I decided to use it in the project.  It was just the right size to become a backpack!  Don't assemble the bag until you are done adding straps.  To create the flap, I just punched out a 3" scallop circle and folded it in half.  Adhere one half to the back of the bag, leaving the other half without adhesive.

Then punch holes in the back.  You can measure in about 3/8 of an inch from top/bottom/sides.  Tie ribbons so that knots are on the inside, then seal up the bag.  Add velcro to the flap to allow it to open/close. I added the ghost from Imaginisce.   He was perfect since he did not require any coloring!!!  This bag was perfect to hold a couple of Halloween sized candies.

Of course, you can try different sized bags for different sized backpacks..  you get the drift right?
