Summer is almost here! The weather is finally warming up and the days are getting longer… that means more time to craft right?

May Craft Night
Our next Craft Night will be held on Friday, May 7th from 5:00pm-6:30pm. Do you have a lot of wood stamps that are gathering dust because you prefer being able to see where your image will be stamped? Well, we have a solution for you… join us at Craft Night to find out how to un-mount your wood mounted stamps and then re-mount them onto clings so that you can use them with your acrylic blocks! To help you transition to cling mounted stamps, we will be giving 10% off on EZ Mount on Craft Night ONLY.

We will also be sharing some storage solutions that we’ve discovered works for us. If you have a storage solution that works for you, we’d love to hear about it at Craft Night! We are hoping that everyone will bring ideas with them to help fellow crafters organize their craft supplies.

We will continue to host the Card Drawing again at Craft Night, so bring one handmade card to enter. Same rules apply, so if you have any questions, please contact the store for more info. The more the merrier!

Class Kits:

Missed a class you really wanted to take? Can’t make it to any classes on weekends? A great alternative to attending a class is purchasing a class kit! Our instructors will often make extra class kits for those who were unable to attend their classes during scheduled times. If you are interested in a class that we’ve already taught, just ask about a class kit. If we don’t already have one in stock, we can make one for you and let you know when its ready. Class kits contain an instruction sheet and materials needed to make the project- you may need to provide some of your own supplies like pens, tape, scissors, trimmer, etc. Kit prices vary so please inquire within. Like classes, kits are cash only please.

Likewise, if there is a particular project you are interested in learning, let us know and we may create a class based on your request! Many of our classes are based on special requests by our regular students, so please let us know what you want to learn!

In The Garden Acetate Card

Debi has wow'd us again! When she brought in this card, everyone was floored and asked her how she made it. She ended up doing a demo on how she stamped the acetate- which I'm going to ask her to do a tutorial for this blog for all of you who missed it.
The image is called In the Garden and its one of the new Hero Arts wood stamps. Since the stamp is a negative image, she stamped it on pink cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. That's it! She told us that you can change the card with the seasons by changing what the boy is handing to the girl. In this card, he is handing her a flower, but you can have him handing her an egg for Easter, heart for Valentine's day.. you get the picture!
Thanks Debi for some great inspiration!

Supplies:
In the Garden Stamp- Hero Arts
Flourish Stamp- Hero Arts
Acetate
Cardstock- Bazzil
Ribbon
White Staz On ink
Embossing powder
Versamark

Would You Like Some Lion With Your Tea?

Another cute tea cup card by Debi... This time instead of flowers, a special friend has decided to join you for a cup of tea! What a cute idea to put an animal in the teacup! If you are wondering how she got rid of the lines that are on the stamp, she inked it up first and then wiped the lines away using a baby wipe. This way, she could stamp directly on the designer paper!
The lion was made using the punch art techniuqe. Several sized circles and a spellbinders die make up this lion. So cute! The borders were punched using the Martha Stewart arch border punch.

Speaking of Martha Stewart Punches, the store received some new release punches that are a must have! They are going fast though, so stop by soon for best selection.
Supplies:
Cardstock- Bazzil
Teacup stamp- Hero Arts
Circle punches
Spellbinders die
Arch border punch- MS Crafts
DP- Little Sprout

A Simple Thank You

Debi made this sweet Thank You card for Michele. Can you believe that there are no layers of paper on this card? She stamped and embossed her image using white embossing powder and accented the middles with stickles. The shading was done by using Copic markers. Such a simple card, but a lot of WOW!

Boo Boo!

Last night we had a blast at Craft Night! Just thought I'd correct myself since I gave the wrong dimensions for the bunny bag make 'n take! I think I told everyone it was a 2-5-7-11 bag but its actually a 2-5-7-10 bag. Thank you Tracy for pointing it out to me! Hello! Can't score at 11" if the paper is 11" long! Duh.

Oh well- my apologies. Here' s the link to the directions on Splitcoast Stampers. Enjoy!

It was a great way to clean out old stuff (and make room for new stuff!) and to get great deals on other's stuff! A win-win situation all around! Thank you to everyone who participated in the sale, whether you were a seller or bargain shopper!

We have some fun and exciting things planned this month, including some Easter Fun for Craft Night and some new classes! Read on for more info on both...

Then, play along with our Easter Die Cut Egg Hunt! Easter egg die cuts will be hidden throughout the store and you need to find them! When you find all the eggs, you can turn in your paper for a chance to win an Easter goodie bag shown here.

Thiis contest will be held throughout Saturday as well and the winner will be drawn after the store closes on Saturday. Results will be posted on the blog.

We will again host a Card Drawing where those that want to enter can submit one handmade card in an Easter or Spring theme. We will number all the cards and have participants pull numbers to see who goes home with what card. Participation is voluntary, but the more people who participate, the better!

Finally, to celebrate the season and to add to all the fun, when you are ready to make a purchase, you will be able to choose an egg (at the register). Inside each egg will have a prize listed that is either a product or discount towards your purchase. Top prizes include:
