Happy Halloween!

Guess I must've forgot to post this card... This little fairwee has turned into a witch for Halloween just by adding a witch hat from the hats off to you Lawn Fawn set. These little hats are the perfect size for many of the Lawn Fawn characters and also for these cute Fairwees!

The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Heebie Jeebie's set and comes with the spider (and bats too!). Decided to distress the background using some Halloween colors and added in some colored pearls for interest. Halloween is just around the corner, so time to start working on those Halloween projects if you haven't started yet. The store just received some oh so cute Halloween papers that would be perfect for your projects! Better save some for me!

And here's a couple of new sets to the store.

These are all going fast, so stop in soon to see what else arrived. Lots and lots of new stuff!

Distress 2 Class- Last Sample

As promised, here's the last card from Debi's Distress Ink 2 class. This cutie is actually a polar bear, but with a little distress ink, he's now a brown bear! Now that's the way to get the most from your stamps right?

If you are in Debi's class this Saturday, you will learn this technique in addition to the other cards that were posted earlier. If you missed out on signing up for this class, Debi will likely hold more sessions in the next few months, so be on the lookout for class announcements.

Classic Fabric Background- Redux

As promised, here's my 2nd card featuring the Classic Fabric Background cling stamp by Hero Arts. This time I embossed the image using white embossing powder by Zing. After embossing it, I went over the image using my Spun Sugar Distress ink by Ranger to make the white show up on the white paper. Its great for customizing your own backgrounds and you get it in just the color you want it!

Used Sweetheart Birgitta again cause she's so sweet. Don't you just want to be her valentine? Here's a close up of Sweetheart Birgitta...

Sweetheart Brigitta

We know you've been waiting for the new CC's Designs stamps to arrive! Here's Sweetheart Birgitta featured on this card I made using the new Garden Party paper by Imaginisce. Totally loving this paper too! If you want some, better stop in soon before I buy it all up!

Decided to try making a shaker card this time by using the new Spellbinders nestibilities dies. Sentiment used is by Hero Arts and is from a set called Made With Love. It comes with 6 different sentiments that are graphically appealing and are great for all occasions. The size of each sentiment is large enough to be the focal point of your card or project. Here's a close up of Sweetheart Birgitta.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Spiderweb Die

In the mood for some Halloween fun yet? Well, this card is definitely fun- just wait till you see the inside! But before I show you the inside, let me introduce Halloween Birgitta from CC's August Release. She's so bewitching yah? For the sentiment, I cut out a pumpkin from my nesties and used my copics to add some shading for dimension. Then I stamped You're Bewitching using a stamp from the CC's designs Autumn Sentiments set. Framed it with my MS Web punch- I love that punch set!

OK- here's what you've been waiting for... Neat-o yah? The spiderweb was made using a Sizzix die and comes with the spider. All you have to do is attach one end with a brad, adhere the center of the web with a glue dot, close the card and wherever the center sticks to on the other side is where you attach the other brad! I added more spiderwebs to fill the space, but the focal point is definitely the 3-D web.

Supplies:
  • Spiderweb and spider die- Sizzix
  • Spiderweb punches- MS Crafts
  • Brads- Making Memories
  • Halloween Birgitta- CC's Designs
  • You're Bewitching- CC's Designs
  • Pumpkin Nesties- Spellbinders
  • Cardstock- Bazzil

Here's a close up of Angel Emma... See how her halo and wings are covered with stickles? Debi also outlined the dress with stickles for a more subtle effect.

Double Pocket Gretel

Tried out this new double pocket card using the CC's Designs Gretel stamp. She was the perfect shape for this card! Decided to have her sitting in some grass that was punched using the MS grass punch. Added in some mini sakura flowers (available at Island Scrapbooking) to the grass.

This double pocket card is perfect for holding a gift card in one pocket and your message in another. I've also seen people put a bookmark in one and their message in another- the possibilties are endless!

Santa Birgitta

Time again to share another Christmas card to get you in the mood to start all your Christmas crafts. Island Scrapbooking brought in these Christmas Doodlebug papers again, so I thought I'd play around with it to see what I come up with. Now tell me the truth... doesn't Santa Birgitta look cute in her pink Christmas jammies? Well- they look like jammies to me. I think its her socks. Anyway, used the Doodlebug paper as the background, so not much else was needed. Accented the sentiment with some pine looking branches and pink holly berries.

Here's a closer look at Santa Brigitta...

Big Hugs

This card reminds me of a postcard you would send from summer camp! Debi used a variety of products to create this card. The background was embossed using an embossing folder and the Tim Holtz Ornamental movers & shapers die in which she stamped the ledger background stamp by Hero Arts to create the notebook paper feel. The little girl is the Spring Emma Sugarplum who she made sitting on some Island Scrapbooking fern laser cuts and embellished with prima flowers. The "Big Hugs" sentiment is by Hero Arts and the card was topped off with some birds on a wire punch (Martha Stewart).

Here's a close up of Emma...

Enjoy Life!

Aaaah Summertime! Time to relax and enjoy the sunny weather! That's exactly what Honey is doing in her little inner tube. Debi made this Surprise Pop Up card using the new Honey stamp by CC's Designs.

When you pull the ribbon, the card pops up to reveal the sentiment underneath. The "Enjoy life" sentiment is also a combination of two new sets by CC's Designs. The small sentiments coordinate with the large sentiments for a neat look.

Supplies:
  • DP- October Afternoon
  • All stamps- CC's Designs
  • Flower- Prima
  • Ribbon

Delicate Blossoms

Guess I'm getting old because I'm starting to buy less "cutsie" looking stamps and going for a more mature look. I knew I had to have this set called "Delicate Blossoms", which is new from Hero arts. Its a clear set that comes with one more large stamp. These are great for coloring w/copics!

I've also shyed away from stamping with colors other than black and stamping on paper other than white. Well, I saw Tracy stamp this image in brown on ivory cardstock and I was sold! Love this look! I will definitely have to try this more often on my non-people projects. Thanks Tracy!

Topped the card off with the Friend sentiment that is part of the CC's Designs set featuring all different sentiments in a large font. Love this set for its simplicity.

Supplies:
  • Cardstock- Bazzil
  • Delicate blossoms stamp- Hero Arts
  • Friend sentiment- CC's designs

Embossed Sympathy

Although no one likes to make sympathy cards, we've found that the CC's Designs sympathy stamp set has a great variety of sentiments in one set. It also comes with the cherry blossom stamp that is featured on this card made by Debi. Love how she kept it fairly simple and let the words speak for themselves. This set sells out everytime, so hurry in if you want to pick one up. Also in are Thank You sentiments, Friends Sentiments, and a butterfly set.

Supplies:
  • All stamps- CC's Designs
  • Cardstock- Bazzil
  • Stickles

This Sweet November Mermaid stamp is made by CC's Designs and comes with the cute little turtle! Debi made this card using Doodlebug paper. Love how she colored the mermaid's fin!
