Hello Bee!

Hello Hello!

Wowee, was that a fun blogaversary candy giveaway extravaganza or what??? Hope you had a chance to play along and celebrate with us. We are thankful for all you loyal bloggers and customers out there who visit us regularly.

Today, we have a cute card by Debi featuring one of the new Hero Arts sets. Isn't this bee crazy cute? The flower also comes in the same set. I just love how Debi used different color stickles to accent the flower- Can't really tell from this photo but she used red stickles at the top of the flower.

Have a great day!

Pamper Yourself

Aaaaaahhh... Can't you just hear adorable Anya saying that as she soaks in her cute bathtub? Greeting Farm has come up with another fun set for gift giving and will pair nicely with any type of beauty product we girls just love to give and receive! Donna purchased little handmade soaps from a small Hilo company called Sugarberry Soaps, owned by two sisters who are students at UH Hilo. These stamps and soaps were the perfect combination!

This Me Time Anya set is not only pretty, but it comes with great verbage too. Sentiments like "Paper Yourself", "Me Time" and "Sweet Treat" can be used for other cardmaking or crafting projects. This set sold out so quickly last time it was in, so if you want it, you should come in soon to ensure you get your set.

See how the stamps match the soaps?

Supplies:

  • Me Time Anya- TGF
  • DP- Bella Press
  • Cardstock- Bazzil
  • Markers- Copics

Becoming a Butterfly

Don't we all love inspiring quotes and butterflies? Debi's back with another card using a quote from the Unity Stamps Quote Bundle Pack that talks about becoming a butterfly. Love it! She used her Copic pens and Stickles to highlight some of the words in the quote to make them stand out. The background wad made by stamping the Hero Arts butterfly cling set onto cardstock- this is great for customizing your paper to fit your needs.

Supplies:
  • Unity Stamps Quote Bundle Pack
  • Hero Arts Clings-Butterflies (3 images)
  • DP: Doodlebug-cupcake swiss dots

  • Spellbinders: Label Four
  • Flowers: Prima (large), All Natural Accents (small)

Just wanted to share one of Debi's newest creations. She used the one of the stamps from the Unity Stamps Quote Bundle. These sentiments are fairly large, so it becomes the focal point of the card. If you are interested in ordering these stamps, please contact the store to place your order.

I think this quote is quite appropriate for us crafters! Debi made a few more samples using these quotes that we'll be sharing soon.

March Craft Night Make 'n Take

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the next Craft Night is scheduled for Friday, March 5th from 5:00pm-6:30pm. One of our regular customers, Don Barnes, will be doing a free Make 'n Take for St. Patrick's Day. Here's a sample of the card that participants will be making.
As always, we will also be hosting a Card Drawing again this month. Participation is voluntary for those that attend Craft Night, but the more the merrier! We've had as much as 14 cards! Its a fun way for you to make a card and swap it for one someone else made. Its a great way to get new ideas and share new techniques. Please bring your handmade card with you to Craft Night and do not drop them off earlier. We would hate to lose your card, so please do not bring it in early. Hope to see you there!

Zutter Bind It All Demo

Yay! Its the weekend! Thought I'd post the Zutter projects that were shared at the last Craft Night. Just wanted to give those that came some ideas on what could be made with the Zutter system.

My favorite idea was this recipe book... Debi gave me some recipe cards and I thought it would be great to bind them into a receipe book! Because the cards had apples on them, I decided to use some apple clip art (Mindy Terasawa). Doily lace punch is by MS Crafts and added Dew Drops for accents.

Here's the recipe cards. Cute yah?

This next project was made using a ledger stamp by Hero Arts. I used the Tink fairy stamp by TGF and my punches for the circles. Paper is by Basic Gray.

Here's the ledger part..

This last project shown here is just a simple notebook decorated in DP and Hello Kitty.

Hope you like the samples! If you want to see them up close, they are at the store.
Just a reminder that our Blogaversary is coming up next week! Stay tuned for some blog candy goodies we'll be giving away!

In case you missed this make 'n take from our January Craft Night, thought I'd post the project that Debi made. Isn't it cute? She used the Sizzix pillow box die for the body. The "feathers" are just hearts cut from Spellbinders. Thought I'd better post this before its too late to post Valentine's Day projects!!

Sesame Sweets

Aren't these Sesame Street Lollipops the cutest?? Debi made all the Sesame Street Characters to decorate these lollipop covers for Valentine's Day. I'm not normally a Big Bird fan but this version is so cute! Can you believe all of them were made just using punches?

Awesome job Debi!!

Tweet Tweet

Isn't Lucy Bird a cutie? The great thing about this card, other than Lucy herself is that it was so easy to make. The fabulous colors and design (with sparkle already on the paper) lends itself to convenience for making a quick layered card. Isn't that tweet?

Corner Punch Fun!

Here's another Valentine's Day card to share. This card was made using the corner punch technique that was taught by Debi last year. This new Martha Stewart heart corner punch made a pretty Valentine accent for this card. The card was topped off with some Prima flowers and a ribbon. This card was quite simple to make, but the punch detail will turn heads.

Here's a close up of the card...

Life Is Sweeter

It's been awhile since I've made one of these boxes. Its using the Sizzix Box #2 die and adhereing them together to create a handle for the box. The cool thing is that you get yet another use for this basic box die. Now you have two compartments to put items in- perfect for holding small gifts like post it notes, Stickles, etc. You can find the tutorial on how to make this box at the Life is Sweet blog by Cheryl.

Box #2 die- Sizzix
Butterfly punch- MS Crafts
Circle and Scallop circle punch
