Happy Valentine's Day!

Have you seen the new Hero Arts background cling stamp called Classic Fabric Design? Its one of the new releases from the 2011 catalog and is great for cardmakers! Its elegant style makes a great background and can easily create a different effect just by changing the color used. Here I used gold embossing powder (Queen's gold) and used the emboss resist technique by adding Bard Door Distress ink over it. Love the rich results it gave to the card, so kept with the theme and used a black card base to make the red and gold pop.

The sentiment was stamped on the new Labels 14 Spellbinder dies that are now in stock and accented with Kaisercraft crystals. I'll be sharing another card tomorrow using the same stamp but in a totally different look so stop by to see what else this stamp can do.

Corner Punch Fun!

Here's another Valentine's Day card to share. This card was made using the corner punch technique that was taught by Debi last year. This new Martha Stewart heart corner punch made a pretty Valentine accent for this card. The card was topped off with some Prima flowers and a ribbon. This card was quite simple to make, but the punch detail will turn heads.

Here's a close up of the card...

Supplies:
Cardstock- Bazzil
Labels die- Spellbinders
Heart corner punch- MS Crafts
Flowers- Prima
Ribbon
Heartfelt wishes stamp- Hero Arts

As a reminder, Craft Night is scheduled for tomorrow, 2/5/10 starting at 5:00pm. If you plan on entering our Card Drawing, don't forget to bring your Valentine's Day themed card to the event. I will be doing a Zutter machine demo and will have lots of samples on hand to give you some ideas. Hope to see you there!

Sweet Wonderful You

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so its time to start making those Valentine's Day projects! For a little inspiration, here's an easel card using the new Sweet Wonderful You clear stamp set by Hero Arts. If you have a little girl or make cards for little girls, this set is a must! There are 3 girls in the set along with some cute sentiments. I just love how they all work together so effortlessly.
Here's the card when its opened... I used a pop dot on my sentiment so that the card will stay open like an easel.

Here's the side view, so you can see it propped up.
Supplies:
Sweet Wonderful You stamp set- Hero Arts
Heart and scallop heart dies- Spellbinders
Labels dies- Spellbinders
Heart corner punch- EK Success
