Cuddle Anya is one of my new favorites! She's a very close second to Snuggle H&G. Who can resist her cute bear cap? Decided to use this whimsical paper that just came in by Doodlebug. Simple is Better

Have you met Heidi before? She's one of the CC's Designs Swiss Pixies. She's one of the first designs of this line and boy is she a cutie! Love how she is just cruising in the flowers. Made this a very simple card since the image took up a lot of the card space- no room for movement. Sometimes simple is better!

  • Flowers- Prima
  • Pearls- Kaisercrafts
  • Ribbon
  • Swiss Dots embossing folder- Cuttlebug

Fleur Tent Card

I really wanted to try making this tent card. I made earlier attempt, but it didn't come out too well, so this is my second attempt. I love this new paper by K & Co. and thought it matched up well with the kraft cardstock. Then I totally copied 1Luvn Mama by using jump rings to dangle Fleur Anya from the top of the card. The card was embellished with the MS butterfly punch and Prima flowers.

Here's a close up of Fleur Anya..

Double Displayed Out

OK... If this doesn't make you sick of Double Display cards, nothing will! I know- I've been a bit Double Display card crazy lately, but this will probably be my last one in awhile... so enjoy!

I used my new favorite stamp... Fleur Anya! She's so darling, I colored her in almost every color I have. Here she is shown in green....

I am also finding that this Hero Arts set is very useful. At first it didn't appeal to me, but the more I use it the more I like it! Both sentiments are from the set.

So, I'm totally Double Displayed Out! :) Fleur Anya has been re-ordered and we are expecting a shipment soon.

Celebrate Birthday Boy!

Here's Oliver, who is part of the new Greeting Farm set called Buddies. Decided to try make a boy themed Double Display card this time using the new stamps. As you know, boy cards are not my strong point, so I struggled putting this one together. Since I didn't have any sentiments that fit into the circle size I wanted to use, I printed it up on my computer in matching colors. The "Party On" sentiment fit, so I stamped it using my Hero Arts clear stamp. Isn't Oliver's doggie so cute?

Oliver is back in stock along with the other new stamps from the Greeting Farm. If you've been waiting for these to arrive, come in for best selection.

Thanks Friend

Here's another Double Display card using Cherry Emma from CC's Designs. She's back in stock now if you've been waiting for her. Since she's sitting down, I positioned her at the bottom of the card so she sat on the cut line. And since she was wearing cherries, I decided to use the cherry paper by Doodlebug to accent the top and bottom of the card.

The two sentiments on the front are circle sayings from a Greeting Farm set and the "Thank you ever so much sentiment on the inside is by Hero Arts.

Graduation Card

Yikes! Graduation is just around the corner isn't it? Now that school ends earlier so that kids can have a longer summer, that also means that graduation is earlier too. Debi made this graduation card by stamping the graduation cap on a spellbinders die cut. The glitter strips you see on the side of the paper is just double stick tape with glitter on it. Neat yah? It just added enough sparkle to give the card a little oomph! Hope this inspires you to start making your graduation cards!

Large Stamp Tutorial

Hi Everyone!

Did you have a Happy Mother's Day? Hope you had a great weekend and are ready for the week ahead.

Have you had trouble getting good images from large stamps? I must confess that I do, which is why I don't buy them. But during one of our Craft Nights, Debi did an impromtu demo for everyone to show them how she gets good images from her large stamps. She doesn't even put them on an acrylic block!

First, you ink up your stamp...

Here's what your stamp will look like when its inked up.

Now here's the trick... instead of putting the stamp on the paper, Debi puts the paper on the stamp!

Now rub, rub, rub! Make sure to hold the paper down so it doesn't move around...

Voila! Now all you have to do is trim the image down to the size you want.

Doesn't Debi make things look so easy? Maybe now I'll buy some of those large clings I've been eyeing! Thanks Debi!!
Just a reminder that all Hero Arts stamps are on coupon this week for 25% off for members. Limit two per coupon/person. Now that you know how to get good impressions from these large cling stamps- why not take advantage of the coupon too??

Punch Crazy

Don Barnes has been going Martha Stewart Punch crazy! He's shared so many new cards since he's gotten the various corner/border combo sets. Here's one of his creations using the beach set. The waves were cut from paper and the dolphins are Island Scrapbooking laser cuts.

The second card shown here used the ladybug set on the outside of the card and the buttefly set on the inside of the card. If you want to see more of Don's punch cards, stop by the store- he's made a lot of them! Thanks Don!
