10 Year Anniversary Celebration

Island Scrapbooking is so excited to announce our 10th Anniversary Celebration this  October.  Can you believe it has been 10 YEARS!!!  It is sure to be a memorable and fun filled day with games, prizes, and so much fun!!!  there is no official date set yet, but we are looking at the 12th, which is the 2nd Saturday in October.  Please watch your Newsletter, blog posts, and/or Facebook posts for more announcements about this very exciting event!!!

We are headed into that Fall Season!  What does that mean..?  FALL Spring Clean SALE!!!  As we start to unwind from the summer activities and head into the Holiday months, we figured what a great time to hold another rummage sale.  We are hosting this sale again for One Day ONLY, on Saturday September 14.  Not only will this be a great day to find gently used craft items at rummage sale prices, but Island Scrapbooking will have great deals that day as well.  For details watch the blog or follw us on Facebook.

Sister Stamps Release #17

Can you believe it?  Sister Stamps released their 17th set of images in just over 2 years!  Look how cute these Christmas images are!!!  Do you have a favorite...?  So hard to choose just one..don't ya think!  We love them all!!!

Also, announcing the upcoming release of the final set of Zodiac images, which are the Rabbit and Dragon.  These will be released October 1st.  We are taking pre-oders now.  If pre-ordered and pre-paind on or before September 13th, you will receive a 10% discount.

We will be open on Mondays from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.  We are hoping this will help accommodate all of you who work during the week and are unable to be in before 5 and for those who just don't want to wait till Tuesday!!  We will let you know if this becomes a permanent day!!!

Envelope Class

Don is back and taking his Demo to the next level...an official class with 2 envelopes projects.  you will make the smallest and largest envelopes using the envelope punch board.

Quilt Style A\Cards with Robin

Robin will be teaching a class on paper quilting.  You will make three cards with three different patterns using this technique.  How elegant!  This class is going to fill quickly so please reserve your seat today.

Jenny's Christmas Tag Class #1

This will be the first session of two classes.  Make fun Christmas tags with Jenny.  You will be making 6 tags in all in this first class.  Samples are pending.  Please watch for Facebook/Blog posts for pics of her projects.  Sign up early as space is limited and her classes fill quickly.

Card Technique Class with Debi

You will learn the following 3 techniques:

Chalkboard Stamping: Create the look of a chalkboard image with stamping.

Bokeh: Use this photography effect as inspiration for a project.

Negative Die-Cuts: Take various Dies and use the negate die-cuts to create something special.

Summer Is Just Around The Corner

March of Dimes March for Babies

Thank you to those who supported me and my OB unit in supporting this very good cause.  Your donation helped us in not only reaching our unit goal, but surpassing it.  Several OB staff turned out to support the cause.  Our OB unit raised over $1300 which surpassed our goal of $800.  There were over 600 people who walked and many more behind the scenes to make this a successful event.  Again, thank you you so much for your donation towards such an important cause.  The walk was a lot of fun and it felt good to participate in this activity with my fellow nurses.

Copic Coloring Class

Join Jenny in learning to use the ever popular Copic Markers.  This is an introduction coloring class.  Jenny will tell you she is not (officially) Copic Certified, but her former students and I can vouch for her and say that she is a very resourceful learner and has years experience using Copic Markers.  in this class she will introduce you to Copic Markers and teach you some valuable tips and resources about coloring that you will find helpful to you in all your Copic coloring projects.

Successful Spring Clean Sale!

Thank you to all who attended our Spring Clean Sale event.  There was a very good turn out and we moved a record amount of items for our customers.  It is exciting to see craft items get into the hands of someone new and excited at the chance to use their craft finds.  We wish to express an extra special  thank you to those who also took the time to shop the in store specials too.  As always we appreciate your patronage.

March Of Dimes March for Babies

I am honored to be walking with my OB unit coworkers to support the March of Dimes March for babies event on Saturday, April 27th. We will be walking 2.5 miles at Wailoa State Park.  Please help if you can by pledging/donating to support a very worthy cause. The money raised goes to support programs in our community that help moms have healthy, full term babies, as well as fund research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies.  Inquire within Island Scrapbooking for more details or to make a pledge/donation.

Shabby Chic Camera

Join Jenny in making this over the top Camera with a Shabby Chic flare.  The detail is what makes this project so eye catching.  Can you get a look inside the Camera lens? I just love how she made it into a shadow box!  Neat Yeah? This project also pulls apart to reveal a hidden box.
