Embossed Pogs
Yes, we have several male crafters amongst us, and boy do they do nice work! Bill has his hand in all types of crafts and has been sharing some of his creations with us. He recently dropped off these hibiscus Pogs that he silk screened then added the new Zing embossing powders for some pizzaz. Love the florescent colors on the black background- boy does that pop!

Like the rest of us, Debi can't get enough of distress inks! I think all of her projects have some element of distressing in them and its totally fabulous! This card uses the emboss resist technique. She embossed the flower from the Hero Arts clear set and distressed over it. Love the color combo she used. The colors are so contrasting that they really stand out. This totally caught my eye when I saw it in the store.
Supplies:
- Flower- Hero Arts
- Cardstock- Bazzil
- Embossing powder

Here's a close up of Angel Emma... See how her halo and wings are covered with stickles? Debi also outlined the dress with stickles for a more subtle effect.
Here's what the card looks like when its opened. Its an easel card, so it stays up when propped open.

Distressed Hula Girl
Aloha! Wanted to share another card that was made for the Card Drawing at the last Craft Night. Michele made this awesome hula girl card using Island Scrapbooking custom laser cuts. She layered it over a distressed background that looks like a hawaiian sunset and then over some cork. Love it!
Did you notice the background paper? Well, if you try to look for it in the store, you probably won't find it. Michele got some peach colored paper that was already embossed in white swirls. She wanted to give the paper some oomph- so she used the spiced marmalade distress inks and added a layer of color over the paper for a more vibrant effect.
Here's a close up of that hula girl....

Santa Birgitta
Time again to share another Christmas card to get you in the mood to start all your Christmas crafts. Island Scrapbooking brought in these Christmas Doodlebug papers again, so I thought I'd play around with it to see what I come up with. Now tell me the truth... doesn't Santa Birgitta look cute in her pink Christmas jammies? Well- they look like jammies to me. I think its her socks. Anyway, used the Doodlebug paper as the background, so not much else was needed. Accented the sentiment with some pine looking branches and pink holly berries.
Here's a closer look at Santa Brigitta...

A Labor Of Love
Here's a close up of the first page..
And here's the other page...
And look at the diaper cake that Tracy and Michele put together for Kelli's shower... Tracy used the ducky paper and cut them into strips to decorate the sides of the cake. She also punched grass and some butterflies to decorate the cake.
