Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

OK everyone, break out those leg warmers that have been sitting in your closets and crimp that hair! The Greeting Farm came out with another limited edition Anya... its 80's Anya! That's like totally awesome! Now that's an Anya I can relate to! Look that that big hair, bow and leg warmers? Hmmmmmm, now who does she remind you of? Could it be? The Greeting Farm must have been looking at a photo of our very own Tracy! Hee hee.
Tracy made this self portrait using the new 80's Anya stamp. I think she's ready to do some Flashdancing! If you are a child of the 80's, you'll definitely need this one for your collection. Hurry, these are limited edition, so once they're gone, they're gone!

Angel Ornament

In an earlier post, Donna showed you how versatile this Hero Arts Angel set was... Here's another project you can make using the same set. Since Christmas is right around the corner, I thought I'd use the same Angel stamp and make a Christmas Ornament. All I did was stamp 2 Angels, color and cut them out. Then I cut a circle from acetate that would fit in the ornament and adhered the Angel to both sides of the acetate. I decorated the acetate with stickles to make it look like snow around the Angel. Even though you can't tell, I also added more stickles to the wings of the Angel so that it was glittery. Once everything was dry, I inserted the circle in between the two halves of the ornament and snapped it back together... and Voila!

Here's a close up of the Angel. Here you can see the dots I made using the Stickles.
Supplies:
Angel stamp- Hero Arts
Markers- Copics
Stickles
Acetate
Plastic ornament (snaps together)
Ribbon

Hero Arts Angels Sing

Happy Aloha Friday! Just wanted to share another Hero Arts project with all of you today...

Hero Arts has done it again! Their Chirstmas stamps are simply stunning and the Let the Angels Sing set is just heavenly. Although a boy angel is also included, the girl angel is the focal point of this card. Donna color coordinated the ink used for the stamp with the cardstock so that it all matched perfectly. She then mounted them using pop dots so that hte image popped from the spellbinders. Can you hear the angel singing?

For the inside of this card, Donna used Bo-Bunny paper and used other stamps from the same Hero Arts set.

Next, Donna borrowed the idea to create matching treat bags from our very own "cute bag" designer, Debi, using the new Spellbinders Label 8 die set. These bags are so versatile that the possibilites are endless. You can use any one of the Spellbinders Labels sets to make these bags or just decorate the bags themselves! This takes the guess work out of gift giving, leaving lots of room for our own creative expression. Thanks to Debi for introducing these little bags to us and to Michele for bringing them in!

Supplies used:

Let the Angels Sing stamps- Hero Arts
Oval, scallop oval, Labels 8 die- Spellbinders
Cardstock- Bazzil
DP- Bo Bunny
Glitter paper- K & Co.

Butterfly Punch Card

Happy Labor Day! Hope you are all had a nice and relaxing 3-day weekend! Wowee! Can't believe its Labor Day already!

Just wanted to share this beautiful card by Debi. She used the new butterfly punches (small and large) to create this card. Don't you just love how she used the negative image of the punch as her focal point? And to top it off, she stamped an image below the punched area, so it showed through where the butterfly was punched out! What a creative way to use your punches!

Here's a close up of the butterfly..

Supplies used:
Butterfly punches- EK Success
Sentiment stamp (under butterfly)- Hero Arts
Scallop border punch- Fiskars
Flourish stamp- Hero Arts

Cards From Our Customers

Just wanted to share a couple of cards from our creative customers! The first card up was made by Don. He used one of the new Spellbinders Pendant dies as the focal point of his card. The background was embossed using the snow dots cuttlebug folder on vellum.

He even added heart crystals to the tips of the pendant.
Next up we have a Halloween card by Mardi. She dressed up Hope (or is it Grace?) from the Hope and Grace Greeting Farm set to look like a witch for Halloween. Mardi combines all different types of crafts into one neat project. In addition to using paper, rubber stamps and dies, she also embroiders!
Here's a close up of the witch..
The inside of the card is just as cool as the outside!
a

Thank you Mardi and Don for sharing your neat creations with us!

Alien Ian

Have you ever tried to alter one of your Greeting Farm stamps? Well, Michele's brother Daniel got inspired by Baseball Ian and here's what he came up with....
Baseball Ian before....
Baseball Ian after being abducted by aliens!
I just love how his baseball bat became his space gun. This just goes to show that you are only limited by your imagination!
