Big Hugs
This card reminds me of a postcard you would send from summer camp! Debi used a variety of products to create this card. The background was embossed using an embossing folder and the Tim Holtz Ornamental movers & shapers die in which she stamped the ledger background stamp by Hero Arts to create the notebook paper feel. The little girl is the Spring Emma Sugarplum who she made sitting on some Island Scrapbooking fern laser cuts and embellished with prima flowers. The "Big Hugs" sentiment is by Hero Arts and the card was topped off with some birds on a wire punch (Martha Stewart).
Here's a close up of Emma...

Enjoy Life!
Aaaah Summertime! Time to relax and enjoy the sunny weather! That's exactly what Honey is doing in her little inner tube. Debi made this Surprise Pop Up card using the new Honey stamp by CC's Designs.
When you pull the ribbon, the card pops up to reveal the sentiment underneath. The "Enjoy life" sentiment is also a combination of two new sets by CC's Designs. The small sentiments coordinate with the large sentiments for a neat look.

Aged Effect
Sometimes you just want to go vintage... Debi turned this Hero Arts gal into a vintage looking card by adding some distress inks to the edging of the oval and card base. The girl was embossed in black embossing powder on cream cardstock. She added vintage lace and pearls as accents.
Here you can see the girl up close and that she is embossed.
Stamp:
- Hero Arts "Sending Smiles"
- Inks: Ranger Distress Antique Linen, Ranger Distress Vintage Photo, Versamark Watermark
- DP: Making Memories "Fifth Ave. E-Foiled"
- Spellbinders: Petite Ovals Large, Petite Scalloped Ovals

A Different Look
OK so I'm not the best photographer... Hopefully you can see the image that was stamped and covered with mica powder? I used the Delicate Blossoms set again from Hero Arts. Wanted to show you the versatility of this stamp by using different techniques. In yesterday's post, the stamp was just colored with Copics, but this post shows the same stamp in a totally different look!
Distressed the background using Barn Door (red) and brown- sorry can't remember if it was Walnut or Vintage photo! I think it was Vintage Photo, but don't quote me on that. Stamped the background words using the same brown and then stamped the flower using versamark and covered it with mica powder.
Supplies:
- All stamps- Hero Arts
- Distress Inks- Ranger
- Mica Powder
- Cardstock- Bazzil

Delicate Blossoms
Guess I'm getting old because I'm starting to buy less "cutsie" looking stamps and going for a more mature look. I knew I had to have this set called "Delicate Blossoms", which is new from Hero arts. Its a clear set that comes with one more large stamp. These are great for coloring w/copics!
I've also shyed away from stamping with colors other than black and stamping on paper other than white. Well, I saw Tracy stamp this image in brown on ivory cardstock and I was sold! Love this look! I will definitely have to try this more often on my non-people projects. Thanks Tracy!
Topped the card off with the Friend sentiment that is part of the CC's Designs set featuring all different sentiments in a large font. Love this set for its simplicity.
Supplies:
- Cardstock- Bazzil
- Delicate blossoms stamp- Hero Arts
- Friend sentiment- CC's designs

New Asian Cuttlebug Embossing Folders
OK- so this is not a good photo- Sorry! Had difficulty taking a picture of the metallic cardstock with the flash. This design was actually CASE'd by Diane. She made this same design using the new cuttlebug folders that are in stock now. There are actually two different sets to choose from but you will probably want them both. You can't see the black cardstock well, but its also embossed in an asian print as well. Love the koi embossed in orange metallic paper... Thanks Diane for a great idea!

- Embossing Folders- Cuttlebug
- Metallic cardstock- American Crafts

Embossed Sympathy
Although no one likes to make sympathy cards, we've found that the CC's Designs sympathy stamp set has a great variety of sentiments in one set. It also comes with the cherry blossom stamp that is featured on this card made by Debi. Love how she kept it fairly simple and let the words speak for themselves. This set sells out everytime, so hurry in if you want to pick one up. Also in are Thank You sentiments, Friends Sentiments, and a butterfly set.

See Ya Later Alligator!
Isn't teamwork great??? Donna and Tracy came up with this card and box combo that coordinates so well together (just like them!). Donna made the alligator (or is it crocodile?) card using a sizzix die and then embossed him using a cuttlebug embossing folder to give him his alligator like skin. Love it!
Then she punhed grass from one of the new Doodlebug papers (I'll need to try that one day) and topped it off with some Prima flowers. Here's a close up of the alligator...
Tracy used the pie box die by Sizzix for her project and decorated it in the same paper and color scheme as Donna. Don't you just love it when projects coordinate together? Thanks girls!

Flutter Tent Card
Hi Everyone!
Hope you had a great weekend! Decided to get a little funky with this card by coloring Flutter Anya's hair green. Guess I was inspired by Noe, who always colors Anya's hair in punk rock colors. I chose Flutter because she has wings and would work nicely dangling from this tent card.
Here's a close up of Flutter..
Oh yah- forgot to mention the flower accents- made the one that looks like a daisy using the cosmo punch by Martha Stewart. Just punched out several of them out of cardstock and attached them with a brad- then lifted them up to give them more dimension. I made the rose by punching a scallop circle and cutting a spiral out of it and then rolling it up to look like a rose.
Supplies:
- Flutter Anya- TGF
- DP- Doodlebug
- Cardstock- Bazzil
- Flourish Punches- EK success
- Cosmo punch- MS Crafts
- Scallop circle punch- Marvy
- Stickles
- Ribbon

Happy Father's Day Card
One of our favorite customers, Belinda, made this awesome Origami card for our Card Drawing at Craft Night last week Friday (this is the card Michele received from the swap). When you open it up- the inside is just marvelous!!
She layered the background using various papers to make it look like a beach scene. Love it! Sentiments were made on her computer and then cut out using Spellbinder nesties. Thanks Belinda!

See The Flowers Smiling
Have you seen these neat punches by Martha Stewart? The large one is called chrysanthemum and the smaller one is called pop up water lily. The petals actually pop up off the page!
She paired up the flowers with my favorite Hero Arts girl stamp. Background paper is by Basic Gray called Kioshi and sentiment is also by Hero Arts.
Here's a close up of the cutie...

Large Flower Card
When I first saw this card I thought it was a secret way of opening it up, but its all just a facade... Tracy tricked me with this cool layout. Love the way she colored the large flower (Hero Arts) with her Copics... wait till you see the inside of the card....
Ta Da! I just love it! I never spend time on the inside of my cards and I really should... look how sweet this turned out! Thanks for sharing this idea Tracy!

Happy Days Are Here!
Have you checked out our selection of new Ranger Distress Inks we have in stock? Debi did a class this past weekend and showed students different techniques using these versatile inks. The coolest thing about them is their blending ability. They are like really big Copics!
Debi blended the background of this card using Distress inks. She used a book page as the background and just blended the inks over it. Love it! As you can see, these inks come in a lot of colors and believe me, you'll want them all! Happy days are definitely here!
